School Program
Our curriculum is based on the goals of the Congregation Tikvat Jacob Education Program. It is a spiraling curriculum, allowing several topics to “spiral” through the grades, growing in complexity as students mature.
Jewish education is a life long endeavor. Along the way our children will acquire the knowledge and inspiration they will need to intelligently connect with God, Torah and Israel. As teachers and parents, we become the angels guiding and supporting this journey.
Mission
Students will acquire the skills and knowledge while experiencing the joy of living as a Jewish person: Taking one step at a time, as they begin a life long process of building a connection and understanding of God, Israel and Torah. We believe that our school program should educate and equip our children to have a love of Judaism that will enrich their lives through adulthood. We also believe that Judaism contains answers to the challenges and questions confronting us daily, and that a knowledgeable Jew can successfully discover these answers. Our programs engender a proud Jewish identity, commitment to the Jewish community and Israel, enrichment of the Jewish home and commitment to Jewish ethical behaviors and values. The school program prepares and motivates students to practice Judaism out of respect and love for its traditions as well as knowledge of its history, language and practices
We strive to integrate cognitive and affective learning, with the creative arts and social action into an interesting and experiential approach.
