As Israel turns 70 this coming year, more than ever worldwide Jewry struggles with how to create a new narrative regarding the significance of Israel for Jewish life.
During the course of this video lecture series with Rabbi Kalev, we will move from a discourse that is crisis based to one rooted in Jewish values and ideas. We will explore how the Jewish state should exercise power, why a Jew who lives outside of Israel should care about Israel, and what the Jewish State can offer the world. Over the six sessions we will explore Israel’s most pivotal moments and how they can help us create a morally sound vision for our Jewish homeland despite our political disagreements.
We will have both Sunday morning and Wednesday evening lectures available. The first two dates are October 29 at 9:00 am, or November 1, 7:00 pm. You can attend either, as each session will present the same information as the other.
