Breaking Bread: A New Dawn for Jews and Muslims
Sunday, March 29 at 1 p.m. at the Skirball Cultural Center
A moderated Jewish-Muslim multifaith dialogue and ceremonial breaking of breads at the convergence of Ramadan, Palm Sunday and Passover.
There are Muslim voices you haven't heard standing with the Jewish People—until now.
Presented by the American Muslim & Multifaith Women’s Empowerment Council (AMMWEC) and sponsored by ADL, the offices of Los Angeles County Supervisor Lindsey Horvath and Los Angeles City Councilmember Bob Blumenfield, this program convenes leading Muslim voices committed to multifaith dialogue, confronting antisemitism, and advancing peaceful coexistence with Israel—marking a new dawn for Jews and Muslims.
Moderated by Alex Cohen, Spectrum News anchor, the afternoon will also include Jewish, Muslim, and Christian faith leaders participating in a ceremonial breaking of traditional breads at the convergence of Ramadan, Palm Sunday, and Passover.
