Non-CTJ Events Around the Community!

We’re excited to welcome Avi Melamed, one of today’s most insightful voices on Middle East geopolitics, for a powerful and timely talk: “From Noise to Insight: How the Middle East Actually Thinks About This Moment.”

Rather than focusing on headlines or Israel in isolation, Avi helps us zoom out and understand the regional forces, political cultures, and strategic thinking shaping events right now. Known for his clear, calm, and deeply engaging style, Avi has helped countless audiences, especially those feeling confused, frustrated, or overwhelmed,  gain clarity and perspective on why Israel acts as it does within a complex Middle East reality.

This promises to be an eye-opening, grounding, and deeply relevant evening—one that turns uncertainty into understanding and conversation into insight.

There will be a short Q&A following the talk.

Free for both members and non-members. We will serve wine & cheese starting at 6:30pm (event at 7pm).

Celebrating their 94th Anniversary on March 22, the Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church, located in CTJ’s original LA building, has invited the CTJ family to join for joyful interfaith celebration of Faith, Joy, and Community followed by a reception kiddish featuring a feast of “Jewish Soul Food.” Many CTJers visited this amazing church during our CTJ Historical tour of LA!

Join Pastor Keith Williams and Rabbi Mark Hyman to joyfully celebrate our new friendship, blessed by the shared legacy of our communities.

CTJ members will be attending the 10 AM service.
